Johnson Controls' float. This year’s parade theme, Give the Gift of Knowledge, Open the “Presents” of Mind, aimed to emphasize the importance of education and providing kids with a gift that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Another photo of the elaborate Johnson Controls float. Johnson Controls, the Presenting Sponsor of the Milwaukee Holiday Parade for the past 7 years, continues to support the parade both financially and with a huge team of volunteers. Thank you to everyone at Johnson Controls---We couldn't have done it without you!
The Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid. Equipped with a rechargeable 300 volt, 10 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery from Johnson Controls, it is designed to provide up to 40 miles under electric power. Once the battery reaches a threshold, it contunues to operate as a standard hybrid vehicle. The battery can be fully recharged in a standard home electrical outlet in approximately 7 hours. Production of this vehicle begins in October 2012.
The parade crowd surrouning the entrance to The Shops of Grand Avenue on the corner of Old World 3rd Street and Wisconsin Avenue. This spot served as the official end of the parade, but attendees overflowed into the surrounding blocks of Wisconsin Avenue.
The Hunger Task Force truck was followed by Johnson Control's volunteers with shopping carts. The carts were filled throughout the parade with non-perishable items from parade attendees, resulting in over 10,000 pounds of food for the hungry.
Approximately 300 Johnson Controls volunteers collected non-perishable food donations along the parade route to benefit Hunger Task Force’s Food for Families.
Bango from the Milwaukee Bucks stopped by on his Segway!
The 25-foot Chilly Willy helium balloon. Chilly Willy was probably a little less than chilly for the parade, as attendees enjoyed sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s!

The Wacky Wheeler!
Gearing up the crowd for the arrival of Santa Claus!
Snow White, and of course, her Seven Dwarfs.

My bologna has a first name... Its O-S-C-A-R. My bologna has a second name... It's M-A-Y-E-R. Oh I love to eat it every day, and if you ask me why I'll say... 'Cause Oscar Mayer has a way with B-O-L-O-G-N-A!
A young parade attendee with holiday spirit all over her face!
The arrival of this 45-foot red-nosed reindeer must mean that Santa is near!
